When using a Making Memories® trademark in text form ("Making Memories Mark") use the correct ® or TM symbol on the most prominent (or if none is prominent, the first) appearance of a Making Memories Mark.
The basic rule when using a Making Memories Mark that is registered with the U.S. Patent & Trademark office the ® symbol will be displayed. Once a Making Memories Mark is correctly attributed on a document or web page, it is not necessary to mark subsequent appearances of the trademark in the piece. Every appearance of a Making Memories Mark in stylized form or design ("Making Memories Logo") will appear with the appropriate ® or TM symbol, and may be used only with permission from Making Memories.
When using a Making Memories Mark never vary the spelling; add or delete hyphens; make one word two; or use possessive or plural forms of the Making Memories Mark. When using a Making Memories logo or banner ad never modify the design; add or delete any words; or change any colors or proportions.
When using a Making Memories Mark or logo, never imply or lead to believe that the piece is coming from Making Memories, the company. Never associate the Making Memories Mark or logo with any objectionable material, messages, or associations.

SS instead of Simply StatedTM
The Making Memories logo must be used as a stand-alone icon to connote origination of Making Memories without other logos and trademarks associated with it. Only Making Memories products and services will be used in conjunction with the Making Memories logo. Wherever a Making Memories Mark or Making Memories logo appears with another company trademark or logo, the Making Memories Mark or Making Memories logo must be as large as the trademark or logo of the other company.
It is Making Memories' policy to attribute Making Memories Mark and Making Memories logo use by placing
the information in a footnote as follows.
Example:
"_____ is a trademark or a registered trademark of Making Memories, Inc."
There is no "boilerplate" footnote. The blank space should be a list of all Making Memories Marks and Making Memories
logos that appear in that particular piece. If all Making Memories Marks and Making Memories logos are registered
trademarks, then the footnote should indicate as such. Footnotes should always be complete sentences and appear on
the copyright page, on the last page of the material, or on the packaging.
Making Memories Marks and Making Memories logos, will always be attributed with the proper symbol and footnoted on all presentations that are displayed to the public (sales, trade shows etc). If a presentation is used internally, Making Memories Marks and Making Memories logos will be attributed but need not be footnoted.
Making Memories is the owner of all right, title, and interest in the Making Memories Marks and Making Memories logos. No person or entity may reproduce or authorize the reproduction or use of the Making Memories Marks or Making Memories logos in any manner other than expressly authorized by Making Memories. Unauthorized use of Making Memories Marks or Making Memories logos is strictly prohibited. Making Memories may, at its sole discretion, modify the Making Memories Marks or Making Memories logos at any time. Please refer to the Making Memories website periodically to ensure your compliance. In order to assure compliance and quality of control, Making Memories may request that you provide samples of any marketing, advertising, or other material that includes the Making Memories Marks or Making Memories logos.
